Yoga for Trauma Resiliency

6 week series

 

begins Thursday April 3rd!

 

 

 

 

Trauma Sensitive Yoga is a great way to practice awareness of your own needs and body sensations. You might be particularly interested if you feel you can relate with some or all ofthe following:

  • You want to feel confident in being able to self regulate vs. your emotions and physical reactions taking over

     

  • It is difficult to know what you are feeling sometimes, and want to have more clarity with emotions and body sensations

     

  • You want to feel more present

     

  • You want to do trauma reprocessing work in therapy but tend to get flooded when you approach triggers, and feel blocked from doing the work

     

  • You want to tap into a sense of safety within yourself vs. trying to create security by controlling external situations or other people

     

  • You identify with having symptoms of chronic or complex PTSD and want to reduce symptoms overall

 

In this 6 week series, there will be some psychoeducation about trauma resiliency but the majority of the class time will be an invitation to practice gentle to moderate yoga shapes together. There will be a few minutes at the end for closing, and any questions or feedback. Since the class is virtual, participants have the option to have their cameras on or off. They are welcome to follow along, or move in a way that is more useful for them. No prior yoga experience is required and all are welcome!

Dates: Thursdays April 3-May 15 (no class 4/17)

Time: 6:30-8pm (Mountain Time)

Investment: You are invited to reflect on your lived experience and access to resources as you decide on a feasible amount to pay. You are welcome to choose an amount between $120-200, for the entire series. Payment can be made through Venmo (@jamiejhwhite), Zelle (jamie@jamiewhitecounseling.com) or Theranest (if you are a current client).
